They use spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients\u2019 health concerns, such as back and neck pain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully complies with LMFC charting protocols and makes patient chart entries that are accurate and appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Fully complies with all in-house clinical protocols<\/li>\n<li>Presents in-house informational workshops with the medical staff on which conditions can be referred to chiropractic to help their patients: lower back pain, neck pain, headaches of all types, sciatica, carpal tunnel, chronic pain and pinched nerves<\/li>\n<li>Discusses pregnancy and children\u2019s issues<\/li>\n<li>Encourages patients to refer family and friends to come in for a chiropractic check-up<\/li>\n<li>Supports the program\u2019s success by referring chiropractic patients who exhibit signs or symptoms of other medical conditions back to their Primary Care Physician.<\/li>\n<li>Reports patient encounters daily and communicates any difficulties<\/li>\n<li>Checks production sheets weekly (if not daily) for accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Completes peer reviews in a timely manner as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Completes all SOAP notes, coding and charting electronically within 72 hours<\/li>\n<li>Focuses on the connection between the nervous system and spinal column<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates a patient\u2019s condition based on their symptoms and medical history<\/li>\n<li>Examines patients\u2019 spine and posture<\/li>\n<li>Diagnoses and treats patients by manually re-aligning the spine and adjusting joints<\/li>\n<li>Use heat, cold, massage therapy and other methods to treat patients<\/li>\n<li>Assess a patient\u2019s medical condition by reviewing their medical history, listening to the patient\u2019s concerns, and performing a physical examination<\/li>\n<li>Analyze the patient\u2019s posture, spine, and reflexes<\/li>\n<li>Provide neuromusculoskeletal therapy, which involves adjusting a patient\u2019s spinal column and other joints by hand<\/li>\n<li>Advise patients on health and lifestyle issues, such as exercise, nutrition, and sleep habits<\/li>\n<li>Refer patients to other health care professionals, if needed<\/li>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Patient Centered Medical Home Essential Responsibilities<em> (Principals)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-editing-info='{\"applyListStyleFromLevel\":true}'>\n<li>Collaborate with individual patients, their personal providers, and when appropriate the patient\u2019s family to ensure accessible, comprehensive, compassionate, and culturally competent care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate care by registries, information technology, health information exchange and other means to assure that patients get the indicated care when and where they need and want it in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all decisions respect patients\u2019 wants, needs, and preferences and that patients have the education and support they require to make decisions and participate in their own care.<\/li>\n<li>Continually strive to attend to each patients \u201cwhole person,\u201d in the context of the patient\u2019s personal and medical history and life circumstances, rather than focusing on a particular disease, organ, or system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Job Requirements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Education: Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from a board approved chiropractic college. Completion of 24 hours of yearly re-licensing seminars<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Certification: Current valid California Chiropractic Examiner license Current valid CPR certificate<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Experience: At least 6 months of practice experience after Chiropractic college graduation<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Verbal and Written Skills to perform the job<em>:<\/em> Familiarity with basic Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.\u00a0 Accurate keyboarding skills. Ability to relate to the patients, through familiarity with medical terminology and triage procedure.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Technical knowledge and skills required to perform the job: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.\u00a0 Demonstrate high levels of self-initiation and direction. Knowledge of communities we serve. Knowledge and experience working in medical settings and interacting collaboratively with medical teams. Skill in analyzing situations and making timely decisions. Ability to coordinate\/lead staff with their schedule, audits and money batches.
