Here at La Maestra Community Health Centers, we are proud to be an agent of change in our community and a medical home to more than 45,000 patients in east, central, and south San Diego County. Since opening in 1990 with one volunteer physician, the organization has grown into a PCMH level III accredited Federally Qualified Health Center with ten locations in underserved communities throughout San Diego County, including school-based clinics and a mobile clinic. Over 500 staff and dozens of volunteers guide more than 45,000 patients per year to access healthcare and social services, most of whom are immigrants, refugees, homeless and low-income individuals with complex health and wellbeing needs. This year marks a major milestone as we celebrate our 30th anniversary of improving the overall health and wellbeing of the community.
