Job Description
Salary Range: $249,600.00- $291,200.00 DOE
Summary:
Render professional medical services to patients of La Maestra Community Health Centers.
- Under general supervision of the Medical Director, render professional services to patients and perform related work.
- Examines and prescribes treatment for Clinic patients; assists in activities for the detection and control of communicable disease; consults with private physicians on diagnoses involving diseases; interprets laboratory data; renders professional services in school health, birth control, maternal and child health, venereal diseases, immunization and TB finding programs, keeps records and prepares reports as required.
- Refers patients to other medical specialties as necessary. Provides education and advice to patients and their families.
- Maintain effective communication and working relationships with other employees and patients
Job Requirements
Education: Medical Degree from an approved/accredited school of medicine. Possess a current valid license to practice medicine in the State of California, current valid DEA registration.
Certification required: ACLS Certification
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as a practicing physician in the State of California preferred
Verbal and Written Skills to perform the job: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Familiarity with basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Accurate keyboarding skills.
Technical knowledge and skills required to perform the job: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals and groups. Demonstrate high levels of self-initiation and direction. Knowledge of communities we serve. Knowledge and experience working in medical settings and interacting collaboratively with medical teams. Skill in analyzing situations and making timely decisions.
Physical and Mental Requirements: Work involves sitting, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
